Betty Boop - Reimagined Fan Concept

Not long before this post, I happened to doodle around in my sketchbook when I suddenly found myself drawing Betty Boop with her pet dog, Pudgy, for fun. The super rough around the edges drawings had me curious with the idea of "What if Betty Boop had a modern day revival series?"

So afterwards, I decided to do a fully colored final standalone concept drawing of the iconic character and for a challenge see if I could make a narrative illustration to serve as a screenshot mock-up. It was a very fun character design experiment as someone who grew up watching the Max Fleischer Betty Boop shorts on VHS and on Cartoon Network in the 90s! Hopefully someday there will be an actual animated reboot of this character to come.
