Frozen: Villainess Elsa - Deleted Scene [Storyboard Redraw]

Disney's Frozen (2013) is © by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

NOTE: This redraw project is based on the deleted scene originally made by the Walt Disney Animation Studio for Disney's Frozen film. This is a fan-made project based on the original storyboard drawings related to the production of the film's original premise where Elsa would be a villain before the change to the final version we have today. I also tried to see how it would appear if it were traditionally animated, so I went with this style for redrawing everything. Elsa's appearance here is also based on the earlier concept drawings of her appearance before the final version we see in the final film. As for the hair color and it's change on the final redraw of this project, the idea I had for it was if her hair would get darker the more corrupted she became from a harden heart throughout. This was also inspired by said earlier concepts with the same hairstyle that had dark blue color and the iconic platinum blonde color the character has now in her final design with the iconic ponytail.

In this shot, the snow army was very differently drawn in the original storyboard. In my mind, I figured Marshmallow - the snow monster - was originally a left over concept of that. So I had the army placed with a "Marshmallow" snow army for this shot.

In the original storyboard of this shot, it was a repeat of the 4th image where Elsa has a close up. So for this part, I thought it would be interesting to have a slow zoom in shot that would continue to the next image.

The glowing eyes I added here were inspired by classic Disney animated films where the villain has a looming eyes in the dark shot before the fade out to the next scene.
